Food4Smiles is a unique project focusing on a healthy start for every child.
About the initiative
Food4Smiles combines research, practice and policy and is a collaboration between the Amsterdam Nieuw-West district, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Fred Foundation and the municipality of Amsterdam. Food4Smiles addresses:
- Making sure people know the importance of the first 1000 days (pregnancy to the second birthday)
- Actions and policies that meet parents’ needs
- Mapping out the system will for the first 1000 days
That is why we started Food4Smiles
Every child has the right to a good start, so it should not matter where your cot happens to be.
