Watoto Foundation
Watoto Foundation Tanzania was founded in 2003 and is dedicated to supporting street boys in and around Arusha.
A grassroots organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable adolescents and teen mothers in the arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya, with a focus on survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
About the initiative
Inspire Teenagers Foundation educates and coaches young people to empower them to take care of their own livelilhood and future. Therefore:
- They diminish the amount of teenage pregnancies.
- They empower the teenage mums to take care of themselves and their families.
- They increase the chances on a healthy start of their babies.
Why we support Inspire Teenagers
We want to stimulate and support young, talented people to realize their dreams. Founder Susan Wairimi is one such talent and became a teenage mum herself. She is highly driven to help young women make healthy choices for themselves.
As an addition to our support for Inspire Teenage Foundation, we are also supporting a coaching programme run by the Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF) in Nairobi, Kenya.
